Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.12%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Insurance, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.12%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:ANSGR), which rose 8.36% or 7.25 points to trade at 93.95 at the close. Meanwhile, 1000 Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:BINHO) added 6.92% or 20.00 points to end at 309.00 and Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA) was up 6.71% or 1.00 points to 15.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS:ARDYZ), which fell 4.16% or 1.62 points to trade at 37.34 at the close. Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) declined 4.14% or 1.28 points to end at 29.64 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 2.68% or 5.50 points to 199.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 350 to 206 and 24 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.51% or 13.54 to $2,678.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.19% or 0.82 to hit $69.54 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.39 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 34.69, while EUR/TRY rose 0.25% to 36.66.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.97.
