Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.24%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Glass, Transport and Optoelectronic sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.24% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Favite Inc (TW:3535) added 10.00% or 5.30 points to end at 58.30 and Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) was up 10.00% or 1.65 points to 18.15 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Iron Force Industrial Co Ltd (TW:2228) declined 4.90% or 6.00 points to end at 116.50 and JSL Construction & Development Co Ltd (TW:2540) was down 4.38% or 4.30 points to 93.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Anderson Industrial Corp (TW:1528) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 10.00% or 1.65 to 18.15.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.34% or 0.24 to $69.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.36% or 0.27 to hit $74.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.80 to trade at $2,744.70 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.29% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.36% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 103.76.
