Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.19%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Plastic and Iron & Steel sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.19%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Ability Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:2374) added 10.00% or 4.60 points to end at 50.60 and Enlight Corp (TW:2438) was up 10.00% or 4.20 points to 46.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. EZconn Corp (TW:6442) declined 5.98% or 27.50 points to end at 432.00 and Zippy Technology Corp (TW:2420) was down 5.03% or 3.70 points to 69.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; rising 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.51% or 0.36 to $71.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.42% or 0.31 to hit $74.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 17.05 to trade at $2,724.55 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was unchanged 0.01% to 32.13, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 103.48.
