Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.05%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Services, Semiconductor and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.05%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593), which rose 10.00% or 0.80 points to trade at 8.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW:2468) added 10.00% or 2.15 points to end at 23.65 and Systex Corp (TW:6214) was up 10.00% or 13.00 points to 143.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Champion Microelectronic Corp (TW:3257), which fell 9.96% or 7.00 points to trade at 63.30 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Kuangli Photoelectric Technology Co Ltd (TW:6431) was down 7.81% or 1.30 points to 15.35.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Systex Corp (TW:6214) rose to all time highs; rising 10.00% or 13.00 to 143.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.13% or 0.09 to $68.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $72.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 11.51 to trade at $2,659.91 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was unchanged 0.01% to 32.36, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 105.82.
