Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.15%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.15% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which rose 4.18% or 0.50 points to trade at 12.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 4.00% or 43.00 points to end at 1,117.00 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was up 1.00% or 1.50 points to 151.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 3.73% or 3.90 points to trade at 100.70 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 3.23% or 4.25 points to end at 127.35 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) was down 2.93% or 2.30 points to 76.10.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 176 to 104 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.43% or 1.08 to $74.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.43% or 1.13 to hit $77.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 11.80 to trade at $2,664.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.25% to 11.76, while USD/NOK rose 0.87% to 10.78.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.97.
