Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.64%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.64%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 5.35% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 3.66% or 0.50 points to end at 14.15 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) was up 2.73% or 0.90 points to 33.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which fell 3.45% or 1.00 points to trade at 28.00 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 3.05% or 0.03 points to end at 0.99 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was down 1.88% or 0.07 points to 3.65.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 46 and 30 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) rose to all time highs; up 3.66% or 0.50 to 14.15.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.45% or 67.30 to $2,682.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.53% or 0.38 to hit $72.37 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.20 to trade at $75.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 1.83% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.63% at 105.00.
