Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.56%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.56% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which rose 2.29% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,785.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) added 2.29% or 300.00 points to end at 13,400.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) was up 2.05% or 780.00 points to 38,780.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which fell 3.77% or 1,300.00 points to trade at 33,200.00 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) declined 1.25% or 1,000.00 points to end at 79,000.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) was down 0.94% or 100.00 points to 10,500.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.05% or 780.00 to 38,780.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.70% or 1.97 to $284.17 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.02% or 251.00 to hit $8,566.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 21.05 to trade at $2,635.65 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.02% to 4,395.99, while BRL/COP fell 0.41% to 761.89.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.12.
