Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.37%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.37%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p), which rose 8.33% or 2,000.00 points to trade at 26,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) added 5.69% or 2,020.00 points to end at 37,520.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) was up 4.08% or 800.00 points to 20,400.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Promigas (BVC:PMG), which fell 3.25% or 250.00 points to trade at 7,450.00 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 2.64% or 300.00 points to end at 11,060.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) was down 2.29% or 260.00 points to 11,100.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.08% or 800.00 to 20,400.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.12% or 0.39 to $323.36 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.97% or 239.00 to hit $11,868.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.21% or 31.44 to trade at $2,639.54 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.16% to 4,387.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.04% to 720.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 107.57.
